Meet the Owner, Michelle Beck

As a Retail Management and Business major in college, Michelle has always had a love for fashion. She spent the early years of her career as a Manager with Nordstrom, where she developed a deep understanding of what exceptional customer service truly means.

Shortly thereafter, Michelle found her way into the wedding industry, where she has owned and operated one of the Twin Cities’ premier bridal boutiques for more than 20 years. During that time, she fell in love with helping brides and their families celebrate some of life’s most meaningful moments. It has been an incredible privilege to assist so many brides in finding the perfect wedding gown, the one that makes them feel confident, beautiful, and truly themselves.

Throughout the years of helping brides, Michelle received frequent requests from Mothers of the Bride and Groom seeking the same level of guidance and expertise in finding their perfect dress. As she expanded her collection of mother-of-the-bride and special occasion fashions to meet the growing demand in the local market, Michelle recognized an exciting opportunity. She could continue being part of life’s most cherished celebrations, weddings, galas, and special occasions, while returning to her first love: fashion.

From that vision, Mothers and Daughters was born.
